Questions,
answered.
Including the ones where the honest answer is “no” or “it depends.” If what you need isn’t here, ask.
The basics
What exactly does Expert Auto Exchange LLC do?
Six things, from one place in Cleveland: auto repair, towing, car rentals, insurance help, credit repair, and dealership start-up consulting. Our other company, Exodus Auto Exchange LLC in Canton, is the retail sales location.
Where are you?
Expert Auto Exchange LLC is in Cleveland, Ohio. Exodus Auto Exchange LLC is in Canton, Ohio. Both are run by Cane Jackson, President & CEO.
What are your hours?
Monday to Saturday, 10 to 7. If you need something outside those hours, say what and when in your message and we’ll tell you whether we can cover it.
How do I get hold of you?
Call (216) 889-3149. You can also use the form on the contact page or email Canejackpolo@gmail.com.
How quickly will I hear back?
As fast as we can during business hours, and we treat anything roadside as urgent. If your message arrives late on Saturday, you’ll hear from us Monday.
Repairs
Will I be quoted before the work starts?
Always. We diagnose first, tell you what’s wrong and what it costs, and nothing is touched until you agree. If something new turns up mid-job, the work stops and you decide.
Do I need to know what’s wrong with my car?
No. Describe what it’s doing. Noise, smell, warning light, when it happens. Working out the cause is our job.
Do you work on every make?
Most domestic and import makes. Some jobs need manufacturer-locked tooling or programming, and heavy collision work belongs at a body shop. When that’s the case we say so and point you the right way.
Can you inspect a car I’m thinking of buying elsewhere?
Yes. A pre-purchase inspection costs a few hundred dollars and tells you what you would be buying. We have no stake in that vehicle.
What if the repair isn’t worth doing?
We’ll tell you. Because we also sell and source vehicles, walking away from a repair isn’t a lost sale for us.
Towing & rentals
My car won’t move. What do I send you?
Where it is (cross streets or a landmark), what the car is, what happened, whether it rolls and steers, and where you want it taken. Details on the towing page. If you’re in a live traffic lane or in any danger, call 911 first.
Do I have to have it repaired by you if you tow it?
No. Tell us where you want it and that’s where it goes. Most people bring it here because it keeps the tow and the diagnosis in one conversation.
Can I get a rental while my car is being fixed?
Ask when you book the repair and we’ll line the two up. If the job is same-day we’ll tell you to save your money.
What do I need to rent?
A valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and a deposit, with the days and mileage agreed in advance. The specifics are confirmed with you before you book. See rentals.
Insurance & credit
Do you sell insurance?
No. We are not a carrier, an agency or a licensed producer, and we don’t earn commission on what you buy. We read your policy with you, explain what a lender can legitimately require, and tell you what to ask a licensed agent.
Can you promise to improve my credit score?
No. Be careful with anyone who does. Nobody can lawfully remove accurate, current information from a credit report, and we do not guarantee scores or approvals. We read the report with you, help dispute genuine errors, explain what auto lenders weigh beyond the score, and tell you when it makes sense to apply.
Can I dispute credit errors myself for free?
Yes, and we tell you that up front. You’re entitled to your reports at no cost from the official source and you can dispute errors yourself. People come to us for help understanding what they’re looking at, and knowing which moves matter for a car loan.
Should I send my Social Security number or account details through the form?
No. Never send sensitive identifiers through a web form, ours or anybody else’s. Say you’d like to talk about credit and we’ll arrange a secure way to go through it.
Buying a vehicle
How current is the inventory page?
It changes as cars come in and sell, so what you see is what is here now. If you do not see what you need, tell us what the car has to do and what you are working with, and we will look, including at trades and auctions. Start on the inventory page.
What is the 16-point inspection?
The standard every vehicle we sell goes through, at both locations. Whatever it turns up is either fixed or disclosed to you before you decide.
Will you run my credit just to talk?
No. Nothing gets run off the back of a web form. We look at the whole picture first and tell you what’s realistic.
Do you take trade-ins?
Yes. Tell us what it is and what’s wrong with it, including the parts you’d rather not mention. The number we give you up front is the number at signing.
Working with us
Can you teach me to open my own dealership?
That’s what dealership consulting is. Cane has done it twice, and he’ll tell you if he doesn’t think you should.
Is Expert Auto Exchange LLC the same company as Exodus?
They’re two companies with one person behind them. Exodus Auto Exchange LLC in Canton is the retail sales location. Expert Auto Exchange LLC in Cleveland is repairs, towing, rentals, insurance help, credit repair and dealership consulting.
Who do I speak to if something goes wrong?
Cane. His name is on both companies and he doesn’t run them from a distance. Say what happened and it will get to him.
Ask us directly. The contact page takes about a minute.
