President & CEO
Cane Jackson
He runs Expert Auto Exchange LLC in Cleveland and Exodus Auto Exchange LLC in Canton. Ask him how he got here and he starts with a matchbox car and the first grade.
His full profile lives at canejackson.com. That is the main site for anything about Cane himself.
The short version
Came from
nothing. Built
two companies.
Cane Jackson has spent his working life in and around cars. First a small location of his own, then Exodus Auto Exchange LLC in Canton, and now Expert Auto Exchange LLC in Cleveland.
He describes himself in four words before he mentions any of it. Husband, father, businessman, and blessed, with God as his source.
The long version
It started at show and tell
First grade. Everybody brings something in. Cane brought a matchbox car. He loved them from that day on.
What the first location taught him
His first spot was small, and a small location doesn’t forgive mistakes. One bad car bought at the wrong number can wipe out a month. One customer treated badly gets talked about across the whole city. He learned to be careful about what he bought and honest about what he charged.
Exodus Auto Exchange LLC was the bigger level
Canton gave him the room. Real inventory on the ground, and the standing to run it. His description of it hasn’t changed since: “From Bentleys to beaters, we sell it all.”
Naming it Expert Auto Exchange LLC
The second location opened under a different name and he changed it. By then he knew this business, so he called it Expert Auto Exchange LLC. As he puts it: “I know this business in its entirety, and I run my locations the way the experts taught me.”
He also made it a different kind of place. Cleveland became the service side rather than a second sales floor. Repairs, towing, rentals, insurance help, credit repair, and consulting for people who want a location of their own.
What he’s like to deal with
Direct. If a repair isn’t worth doing you’ll be told. If your credit isn’t ready you’ll be told that too, along with what to do about it. He is more seasoned now than he was at the first location, and he runs both places on policy rather than instinct.

How he runs it
Four rules that
don’t move.
Look before you quote
Nothing gets priced on a guess. We put the car up and find out what’s wrong. That takes time, and time costs money.
The number comes before the work
Nobody finds out what a job cost when they come to pick the car up. If something new turns up in the middle of it, the work stops and the customer decides.
Say the thing that costs you the sale
“This repair is worth more than the car.” “Your insurance is already fine.” “Wait ninety days before you apply.”
Same standard, every price
The 16-point inspection doesn’t get shorter because the car is cheap. Nobody gets spoken to differently because of what they can afford.
Cane teaches this too. Dealership consulting exists because people kept asking him how he did it. Sometimes the answer is “don’t.”
Get in touch
He reads
these himself.
Customers, people who want to open their own location, and anybody with a question about a car.
